Birthday Party Surprise 7 a.m. Roundup- Have the party be a big surprise for not only the birthday girl but for also the guests as well. Talk with each of the guests' moms at least 2 weeks prior to the day of the party. Get permission for each of the guests to be picked up early in the morning on the day of the party.
Also if you are planning on a slumber party, get permission for them to spend the night so that the girls' moms have time to secretly pack an overnight bag.
First wake up your daughter and surprise her. Don't let her change out of her pajamas. Get in the car and travel to each girl's house to do the same. When you have picked up each guest, head on over to IHOP or your favorite restaurant for a birthday breakfast to begin the day of birthday fun.
Spa Time- If cost is not an issue, head on over to your favorite nail place to have all of the girls' nails and toes done. If not, arrange for a high school or college-age girl to come and help you. This is where it really pays off to have an extra set of hands. During this time, give the girls little petite manicures and pedicures. You can also fix everyone's hair.
Craft Time- During a girls birthday party, it is so much fun making bracelets, soap, candles, bath gel, or whatever “girly” craft you can think of. Many craft stores like Hobby Lobby have great kits to make such things. Be sure to keep the age of the girls in mind. The ideal age for crafts such as these is nine and up.
Scavenger Hunt- Going on a scavenger hunt is one of the best girl birthday party games, especially if it is night time. The girls have had their hair and nails done, and they are all in their pajamas. This is so much fun for them.
Arrange ahead of time and get permission with friends, family, neighbors, and/or the guests' parents for you to visit their house during the scavenger hunt.
Here is a sample girls birthday party scavenger hunt list. Before you begin, put the girls into teams. You will be in charge of a team and you can let your college helper and/or another mother be in charge of the other teams.
